What is microschooling?

Microschooling is an updated version of the one-room schoolhouses which dotted the American frontier life throughout the 19th century. It is not constrained by strict definitions, though there are some common characteristics that microschooling settings share. Typically, there are twelve children or less in a setting. Microschooling is flexible, the need of the learners drives the decisions around content and approach. Microschooling can be a permanent or temporary solution for families.
